Well hello! It seems that everyone else here is a pretty experienced pagan... I am not!
I'm Lauren, and I have recently begun following an eclectic pagan path (you know.... feeling things out, finding the right way for me) after turning away from a pretty strenuous and icky time in fundamentalist Christianity. That was four years ago, and my little spirit has been wandering this direction ever since until finally, about a year ago, I realized that paganism was calling me strongly.
So, apart from THAT, I'm 21 years old, finishing up my last year of college in San Antonio as a theatre major, and kicking the door to full-fledged adulthood wide open! I've got one really supportive, pagan-friendly friend, but apart from her, nobody. So I'm here to meet others, soak it up and learn all I can.
Thanks guys!

Welcome!
I believe finding your "path" in life means looking within yourself at what makes sense and what seems right. Guilt trips and control freaks are found every where but can abound in organized religion. I think we, here, are all rather open to discussions and sharing about why we came to believe the way we do.
I wish you the best of luck in your search for your path in faith!

Merry Meet and welcome to the SA Pagan community. You will find that we are a cohesive and upbeat group of nature people. We are very lucky that this community is very supportive...so don't be suprised if you go to different events and see many of the same smiling faces

Thanks so much for the warm welcome, y'all! I am considering attending a meetup/meeting/group sometime in the near future, so I'll probably be mosying on over to the appropriate section here to check that out. It may not be until May, however, as school is rigorous. I'm glad I found this place so I can meet some of you here before showing up at a gathering.

Merry Meet Lauren. I highly recommend attending any of the meet ups when ever you can, you will always find a diverse , and friendly group of people there. Seshen has a great meet up that I've attended a few times and everyone there is always friendly, welcoming, and even willing to share some of their knowledge. As far as being new ..don't let it get to you. I've been an eclectic solitaire for about 15 years..and I'm still searching and learning, guess that's why it's called practicing ;D

BTW: We are all pretty well linked to each other's web site. Go surfing and see what you find. You can ask all of us questions and we have a good idea who will be the best person to turn to for the answer. No stress, no competition, no politics
